Currently when playing vs bot it’s disallowed to mark dead stones because it is easy to abuse, but the other problem is that autoscore marks dead stones alive incorrectly quite often.
So my suggestion is to allow human player to resume playing and capture dead stones if they are incorrectly marked alive. This way it would be much harder to abuse a bot.
I’d second this. Right now, it seems like the best approach is to always capture everything that can be captured, but it’s a pretty unforgiving lesson to look at a group that has one eye and is obviously dead, and then lose the game by 40+ points because the computer counts the 30-stone group as alive and takes away all of your territory.
