Christmas Go Haiku Challenge

Munching on fruitcake
Some are good and some are bad
But I hate them all.

Is your fruitcake bad?
Just got to bake it yourself!
But play your turn first.

I’m fond of dark fruitcake; it’s got some oomph to it. The lighter stuff not so much.

Heart’s Content Haiku

Sunbeams and coffee,
The middlegame just begun.
Moment most serene.

I had a good time with this. Thanks to bugcat for creating the thread, and thanks to all participants. Enjoy the holidays everyone.

Komi sorts it out.

As always, thank God for komi.

Oh, wait a minute. If I’m eating dark fruitcake then I don’t get the komi. Damn. I’ll just have to hang tough on this one.

Is it really wrong
To serve Christmas tree mince pies
In a spare Go bowl?

A serious haiku this time.

An OGS troll,
Trouble under ten accounts,
Redeemed by Christmas.

Paul and Mary on The Great British Baking Show/PBS were doing a series of shows in which they discuss the baking challenges and do their own versions; there was a fruit cake by Mary in one of them. They said it was really good. Can’t find the recipe though.

A Christmas haiku,
Wishing good games for all you,
May your eyes be true.

I don’t like fruitcake
And can’t eat Christmas mince pies
But we all like Go.

'Twas the Night Before Christmas

…And all through the house
No sound could be heard, except—
The clicking of stones.

Thank you, bugcat, for starting a delightfully challenging thread. The well is dry, however, and I don’t think I could do this again.

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Each new game of go
Is a unique flake of snow
I’m lost in the storm.
