I found this website [redacted] has huge tsumego collection in SGF format. You may find some of the download links are using linkshrink before redirect to mediafire. (I think the owner wants to get money from linkshrink)

anyway, I paid the membership and get 30,000 tsumego problems. cool!
you can import the SGFs to GoGrinder, ElyGo and Hactar Go.

200 Tesuji Problems by Shirae Haruhiko is another good one.

You might also consider Tesuji and Anti-Suji of Go by Sakata Eio. The tesuji aspect is perhaps oversold a bit, but it’s an extensive catalogue of tactics that come up often in games.

I recommend Tesuji and Anti-suji of Go by Sakata Eio. The tesuji are practical and the explanation is thorough and unhurried. Ah… fiddlehead beat me to it.

It seems that the Sakata Eio book is out of print now? Just some quick googling is just finding used copies starting at $50, but I guess it is available as an ebook.

EDIT: maybe it’s available directly from Yutopian, but other places say that it is out of print:

It may indeed be out of print, but apparently it’s still available from Yutopian, for now at least. A darn shame if it disappears altogether.

Would you recommend this book even if I already have “Tesjui” and “Life and Death” by Davies?

Difficult to say. I haven’t read any of the Davies books, but I know they have a strong reputation. Most likely you would find the Sakata book somewhat redundant. Good but redundant. It does explore broader whole board issues occasionally but is mostly concerned with local sequences.

That’s a downer indeed. Fortunately the tesuji in Sakata’s book are widely known, so it’s not like you’d be missing out on some inside joke. It’s just that it may take some searching to find that information more engagingly presented. I’m not that well read in go literature to tell you the truth.
