I’m new on OGS and somewhat new to go. I’m wondering if it’s legit to mix some ranked bot games in with my initial human-v-human ranked games? Or should I avoid ranked bot games?

It’s legit.
That being said, most people will advise that playing vs bots is not a great way to learn, FWIW.

The main drawback of playing low level bots is to get bad thinking and habits.
These bad habits are the most difficult to quit when you will be stronger
