Go is like a box of chocolates?

Some say that ‘Go is like life.’
Others have said that ‘Life is like a box of chocolates.’
Ergo; Go is like a box of chocolates.

How so? When I find myself in an exciting game or tournament or both; part of me wishes to savour the moment, make it last, never let it end. But the board and stones call out to me…‘Just one more move’…‘Play, enjoy, experience’.

So do I save my chocolates and savour the anticipation or do I fall upon the tiny morsels like Garfield upon lasagna? What would you do?

So, on a scale from one to Snoop Dogg, how high are you?

So right!

Generally, with chocolate, I can’t resist it and I leave the metaphorical Garfield in the dust. Then I feel sick.

It’s kind of the same with Go tournaments too. I love them while I’m playing and have hope for each and every game at the outset. Then I lose 7 games straight and I feel sick

Give a either stones and go board, or box of chocolates, and i’ll sit right here until i’m done and feeling bad about myself.

smurph: The only thing I’m high on is Go, so pretty high. :grinning:

I’ve decided to take the Garfield approach…

Well in all you can eat bufet, you eat until you are sick, right?
I just wish I did not get the “I can’t eat properly” feeling after some of the courses :stuck_out_tongue:
