How do I delete my account?

I am no longer interested in Go and would like to delete my account. Please help.

The account can’t typically be deleted, but you can remove any personally identifying information from your profile.

It cannot be removed because the games you have played are needed for the ranking and game records of other players. You can even change your username, if you so choose. In the profile area of your profile simply click on Edit to modify your personal information.

1. Open up your profile by clicking on the square with three lines in the top left corner, and then clicking on the Profile link; OR, click on your avatar image in the top right corner, and then on the link with your Username in it.
    
   
   
   
    
    
2. Click on the Edit button underneath your avatar in the top left portion of the screen.
    
   
   
   
    
    
3. Click on the field with your username in it, and change it to whatever you want. When you are done, click on Save. You’re done
