When I create a custom game, I see where I can set the time control, but when I’m looking at available games, I see time, but how do I know what time control it is?
You can click on “Game Information” in the right hand menu of the game. Under there it mentions the time settings.

The time you can see in the list are formated so you can guess what time control is proposed.
- 5m+5x 30s > this is main and byoyomi
- 10m > this is absolute
- 30s+ 10s up to 1m > this is Fisher
etc…
