I noticed that Roku has a developer interface. I’m sure that the amount of code needed is daunting, and I’m not sure if there’s a financial cost. Nevertheless, is there any interest in a Roku channel? I think it’d be a really great teaching tool, not to mention a convenient one.

I was considering this the other day. Afaik, it doesn’t cost anything to create a Roku channel, just the time spent developing the app and the possible cost of hosting the data.
