How to block the life of the group in the right up corner? 17k

I would ask two separate things.

  1. Should I block before moves 16?

  2. Can I capture the group after move 16?

The general rule is surround the group first and limit it’s room to make eye-space, and really only play a stone inside once you can read that it can be killed. kickaka showed a variation (after white 16) where white lived really small, and if you look at black’s position, black should be incredibly happy with the result. Of course in 9x9 it may not be enough to win.
