How to get better at go?

Just wondering how do I get the next leap in Go? Have been around 1D to 3D in these 2 years and have not progressed a lot.

Not too surprising because it’s harder.
Usual advices: play more seriously? Review from stronger. Do tsumego for better reading.

Hmm. Are there any other options?

Do you know your weaknesses?

Maybe middlegame?

Somebody made a very cool / informative post in this forum - I’m guessing it might have been about a year ago where they did this huge rank breakdown, specifically talking about what skills you’re likely to see at which ranks, and - more relevant to your question - the various reasons that say a 5 dan might be stronger than a 3 dan

it was full of really good specifics, and I’m thinking that perhaps focusing on those particular skills might help you find your next subject of study

Anybody else here remember the post I’m talking about, and maybe wanna drop some knowledge?

That’s a bit vague. Maybe a look at In-seong Hwang’s Elements of Go Strength is helpful:

One way to improve is to know your style and change it. By that you try something new and learn something new, which you then can apply to your game.
