How to make the message box go away

I sent a message to a friend, but the message box won’t go away and its in the way of our game. How do I dismiss it??

What happens when you click on the top right area where the X should be?

It looks like the browser has problems displaying the special font used for the icons. What browser are you using and are you using any plugins?

nothing happens.
Firefox 67.0.2 – I try to avoid all plugins
Mac 10.14.5

You can try to reload the page with Shift+F5 . This should force the browser to reload all resources.
