Is there a 0k or 0Dan on OGS algorithm?

Dear all,

This is my first time posting on this forum.

My current OGS rating is currently at 0.2k ± 1.0 . I’d like to gain a bit more understanding of this 0.2k if possible. Normally in the real world, 1 level stronger than 1kyu is just 1Dan. So does this mean in OGS’s algorithm, 0k is equal to 1D? If that’s the case, then does this mean that 0.2k just means that I’m 0.8 levels stronger than 1k but 0.2k levels weaker than 1D?

0 kyu doesn’t exist. You can approach “0 kyu“ as much as an epsilon from the right, but the moment you hit what would be 0 kyu, it gets parsed as 1 dan.

Yeah, exactly. The answer to all of them is yes.
