Japanese vs chinese scoring

I dont know the subtleties of chinese vs japanese scoring.

Could someone explain them to me please?
Can the endstate of a board have a different score depending on the system?
Im not talking about different komi och that amount of points ( you count stones as territory in chinese) but the result in term of who won and by how much.

This came up because of a game where the score estimator ( which i think uses chinese scoring?) showed w+0.5 at end but all manual scoring showed b+05 (or something along those lines)

The difference can be zero to one when comparing the results using both rulesets. Differences in seki counting and B having the last move (which is an extra point) are usually the causes for the point difference,
