hmmz… tried to use the sgf of ogs in several zipped formats, but doesnt seem to take it, used only 15 games. anyone some clues?

What did it do when you tried to upload it?

We don’t support zips yet, gotta unpack them first. You can upload several at once after that though :slight_smile:

@Matburt @yebellz
Ah sorry, i should have been more clear. I downloaded several .sgf files form ogs to use on the site Yebellz posted and there i got some trouble uploading my own created zip file. I was curious what my focus points would be and couldnt get it to work. was wondering of someone else had the same problem :wink: nothing to do with OGS self except perhaps the sgf format.

Well if you guys have time over, would be a neat feature ;P, anyway love what you are doing for the site! Thanks for all you work

I noticed that the site has a minor bug, if the SGF has comments in it, the game gets rejected by that site. If you go through the SGF file and remove the comments, they should work. Also, make sure that the file names end with “.sgf” since the site also ignores files with a different or missing extension.

The comments look like this in the file:
C[Blah blah blah
]

Quite sure you mean “.sgf” :wink:

Cordially, Tom

Great thanks, will look into that.

Yep known bug, i’ll try and get it fixed up this weekend

Actually, I was refering to a bug on GoStyle Web App
Are you also the developer of that site?

Oh well then… well just so you know we have SGF bugs too, and we’re gonna fix em :slight_smile:

I tested this issue further. It seems that the Go Style WebApp site doesn’t like comments that are broken across multiple lines, and rejects such files are not valid games. OGS produces SGFs with comments that have a line break before the closing bracket “]”. For example, the comments in the OGS SGFs look like:

C[Blah blah blah
]

If you remove the newline, to make the comments look like

C[Blah blah blah]

things seem to work fine on the Go Style WebApp site.

Heh, I did most of them in some manic phases where I did several hundred a day :smiley:

And about Tengen … can’t say yet whether I’ll participate this time. My work is gobbling me up currently, so I’ll probably decide a few days before it begins.

All shygost videos crodgers’ playlist consisted of have been deleted :frowning:

Lame sauce. Such a shame. I will remove the playlist from the post.

For anybody who wants to build their own Goban here’s a Web site with a script for creating the grid:

Screen shot:

The site also has extensive information about standard Goban sizes, and instructions for building one, but the latter is only available in German.
