The all-in one democratic game started even after (July?) and got more posts… I didn’t check others, hope it’s the only miss

The all-in-one democratic game has clambered up from #11 to #8, overtaking a series of dormant forum games (Werewolf Game 4, The Raptor Game, and Go Zendo).

Meanwhile, Important Philosophical Questions + POLLS has risen from #18 to become the new #11.

Go World News has getting some love lately and has climbed to #33.

It now takes 945 posts to enter the top ten threads – still less than half the length of Go Memes! :face_with_monocle:

So, how to interpret the data?

The Werewolf threads are dead – 12, 17, 34, 36, 43, 47. The Diplomatic Go threads are dead – 29, 44, 50. (but the meta thread 33 is merely dormant). The Yahtzee thread, 8, and the Semantic Game, 40, also appear to be dead. Hurt / Heal Fuseki, 20, has finally completed.

22, 42, and some others are actually locked.

45, the 2020 rating thread, is dead. 41, the Glicko-2 thread, is also dead.

4 (Guess the person), 7 (Geoguesser), 9 (Go Zendo), 11 (Raptor Game), 14 (Shiritori), and 26 (Guess Rank) are arguably dormant.

The truly active long threads are, roughly:

Huh, somehow I missed Go videos. That thread should be #39 at 274, meaning all the ones below it are pushed down one, and Kibitz Garden II is bumped right out.

Whilst I’m posting, I noticed that The Conquest of Go is sneaking ahead of G0tstats is back!.

Which languages do you speak? has broken into the top fifty, I think at #48.

It looks like Werewolf Game 2 will soon be bumping out of the lower league, as it should.

Some time this week, the All-in-One Democratic Game finally surpassed the Language Learners’ Library and broke into the top five, both at ~1.4k posts.

Thread #4 is the dead forum game Guess the person at 1.8k, and above that is the coronavirus thread at a seemingly untouchable 2.3k.

In other news, both You know you are A Go addict when… and Through the Years: LC have both overtaken the dead translingual shiritori game at around 700 posts and are catching up to the longest of the werewolf threads (IV – Martian Mimics).

I would hesitate to called any unlocked thread “dead”, but use dormant instead. It could always start back up.

For example, the hurt/heal fuseki game went dormant for four years, before resuming and concluding.
