I’m White, and I lost this game.
Could anyone review it for me?
To be honest, I’m not really sure what I did wrong, or if I simply chose the wrong direction or game plan at some point.

Hi there, I’m a 15-year-old 3d-5d on various Go servers. I’d be happy to review it and give you my best guess as to why you lost this game.
Looking at the final position:
- White has a lot of territory on the left, and two other corners: at first glance, it looks like white is doing well
- Black has a large centre
- The white stones from H18 down through G7 are all dame: they don’t surround any territory. This is a sign that white’s play has been generally less efficient than black’s.
How did we get there?
I think it’s moves 42–66. The invasion at J16 is reasonable, but then you have to make a living group inside black’s area (play K17 or G16), not run out. Move 44 at H15 is very bad. The following sequence is classic squeezing the toothpaste. Move 66 was the last chance to rescue the situation: play D11, sacrifice the two white stones above, and connect up your weak group. In the game, black spent another 20 moves pushing you around and building up the centre.
