New feature request - highlight area to count

it would be nice if you can click and drag mouse over an area, like how you select cells in excel, and count the number of points in the area.

Honestly I’d just be happy if the score estimator allowed me to select/deselect points! I think that’s the goal, but I can’t get it or work right.

Also a counter/estimator like this during reviews would be killer as well.

if you ctrl click a group it does a halfass job of changing the groups life/death status.

but allowing oneself to click and drag an area to count gives more control, and do away with the score estimator is cheating argument.

Yes, this would be perfect.
Just draw territory like in Paint and auto calculate (geometry) area.
No outside information of group status and maximum accuracy.

I think the drawing rectangular thing is not really necessary.
Just “painting” the area that is to be counted would probably be even more comfortable.
