Hi guys,
so i just noticed that i can clear the pin from topics for myself.
Now I wonder if the reverse is possible, so is there a way to add the pin to a topic, i want pinned in a category?

I think, that only mods can pin topics.
If you want to pin them for yourself, you can use the little star icon next to a topic.

True that, but staring does not pin it to the top of the first page 
Yeah, I see it now. 
Have you tried clicking on the starred icon? It’s some kind of workaround, showing your starred topics!

Using stars + sorting by category will probably be similar, yes.
