(A very basic beginner question)
I understand the scoring of this game by GS with white wins by 12.5, but when I import it into SmartGo and ask it for the score, I it says White wins by 20. What’s going in here?
Maybe just a bug with how SmartGo is estimating the score? Does the interface indicate that it thinks that some Black stones are dead?
Odd that says that the lead is a whole number. Maybe it is incorrectly applying komi somehow. Adding 7.5 again to W+12.5 would yield W+20. However, this is just wild speculation.

It might be that SmartGo one doesn’t properly support “Chinese” rules, in the sense that when you select a new game, I don’t think it’s an option.
It is clearly doing something, but seems buggy.
On the other hand, if you manually edit the rules to AGA (area) it looks like it fixes things.
Sgf with Chinese rules sometimes specify komi in Chinese half units (Fox saves are even wilder). I doubt this is ok by the sgf specification, but this may be what the app expects.
