Fabrício is just my rl name, although in other game environments I use Fabrium (when I created my ogs account I preferred to keep it closer to myself than my non-go gaming variation, I relate this with my relationship with go ). Actually my username creates some issues because of the í that makes it hard to search, but I don’t mind.
And the profile picture is a variation that I made from the “L” from death note, which is an anime that I really like. I use it everywhere that I can put a profile pic.
I think mine should be self-explanatory. The thing is that before I heard of this name in Gintama, I have never heard of this name before. I found it both funny and cute, especially when combining the kanji, pronunciation, and the actual character together. I’ve been using it ever since.
The problem is that after that I found out that this is actually a common name, so I’m having some difficulties using it on its own in some places and I am forced to add a suffix to the name.
P.S. I’m more of a cat lover than a dog lover, unless the dog is big and fluffy.
Uberdude has been my handle since before I was online: I first chose it when playing Unreal Tournament on a LAN with my German exchange student Sven (~aged 15 in 2000). So I had German on my mind, and also the uber prefix came to mind being a fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the ubervamps. When I joined KGS in 2005 my profile picture was a colourful image of the Mandelbrot set that I made with a a 1st year computer science project from university the year before. The one I have now, and just added here, is my first cat Molly, because Go players having profile pictures of cats is the thing to do.
My username is kind of an meme -unwillingly- created by some retired german bodybuilder who comes from the same region as I do, and people really like his dialect.
So, the way he pronounces the name ‘Jay (Cutler)’ would be written down like ‘Tschej (Katla)’. I really liked that this meme became so big, also because we also like to speak in this way when we want to say something in a nonserious/funny way.
(Its just the first 5 seconds when he says the name)
Im kinda happy with the username, but it seems english speaking people have no idea how they could pronnounce it, and I have no idea what to tell them to pronounce it like
A note to the guy if you’re interested:
Summary
I find it almost disgusting how big this person (named Markus Rühl) became, and thats what makes me respect him and others of his kind very much. Bodybuilding is one of the hardest sports with almost 24/7 work.Wakign up, eating, cardio, eeating, napping, training, eating, again eating, sleeping, waking up for eating, sleeping repeat. If you want a sneak peek in his unhuman like offseason, I can recommend this funny video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dC8HT_So__w
There are also all kind of english meme videos about him besides the serious ones that exist as well of course.
I got the name Nash looking at a large list of random names. I just wanted a not super common name so I could use it. Back when I played xbox 360 games everyone has zZusernameZz or xXusernameXx, something like that so I’d put the x at the start.
And the year 2000 - which has some kind of significance to me.
My picture is a my dog which I sent to one of those korean beauty apps and had a heavy face filter applied.
