Sometimes I see violet text from me and others, likes normal, rengo games, sgf library, review, demos.
I am curious why are the words in violet?

I thought that purple color only happened if you’re commenting on someone else’s ongoing game…

But I don’t see the same comments and your pictures arent visible in the screenshot. Did you make a demo of the same game or something?
Aren’t comments in malkovich mode purple? Maybe you accidentally clicked on the little Icon, next to the rectangle where you type, and switched to malkovich mode.
I think that purple is telling you that your opponent can’t see it.
Malkovitch would be one reason. It may also be that you have been chat-banned, in which case you can see your chat, but no-one else can. It would show up purple to you in that case…
I think it’s just always the case that in your sgf library the comments are purple.
I’m not sure even if the player in the uploaded sgf has the same username as you that it would be recognised as you.
