Toggling coordinates on a mobile is a very uncomfortable. You have to quit the view of the board, scrolling fully down to access the toggle and then go back up to the view. There are 5 steps possible and you have to scroll up and down each time to check the result.
I agree that it’s annoying when someone posts coordinates in the forum or something and I just want to see what they are talking about, but I’m on mobile with coordinates disabled.
A quick toggle that doesn’t require scrolling back and forth five times would be really nice.
However, the controls @Groin mentioned are not visible by default either, so I’m not sure that’s a good place for the toggle.
That’s true, I haven’t considered these as in fact using coordinates is more linked to watching or reviews as playing.
Anyway I’m sure we can find a place in the page somewhere near the board.
Hmm on further investigation it seems that’s a phone wide setting, which may be too extreme for your use case. However if you briefly flip your phone horizontal when you need to toggle coords it gives you a very adequate view IMO
You make me discover the usefulness of this landscape view
If you remember I managed that democratic game on the forum, with thousands of posts and diagrams which should have or not have coordinates, and I just discover the trick thanks to you.
I hope it’s more useful on tablets really to be useful on mobile it should use the whole vertical space for the board and all menus and buttons should be moved to the sides. How it is now is impossible for mobile play haha
