Any kind of victory/defeat has the same value (if your question is about rating points)

How are you defining resign and forfeit? To me they are synonyms (and OGS only uses the word “resign”)

He timed out / disconnected in 5 straight games today, so I assume that’s what he means by “forfeit”.

a forfeit to me is an adjudicated loss in a tournament due to external factors such as failing to show up on time, being caught cheating, &c.. A resignation is done by the player resigning, a forfeit is given by a tournament official
