I wouldnāt get upset if anyone slightly adjusted the position / placing of a stone or piece regardless of turn⦠but to fully remove a piece from the board, I dunno isnāt that just an automatic forfeit or something?
He broke the piece and then put it back on the wrong spot, during Hansā turn. Hans is clearly sitting there thinking like wtf? lol
EDIT: https://www.reddit.com/r/chess/comments/y7mrc5/hans_theres_no_drama_i_know_you_guys_are/
Iād just call over a ref and explain the situation and FULLY expect the game to be immediately awarded to me. What unbelievable immaturity.
(If it wasnāt a tournament, Iād just get up and play someone else)
Nope not the numbers are bad
The actions and panick are
Hans sued finally
Hope Magnus and chess, com are ruined after this
October 23rd. Do you know this little piece of go history?
In the 6th Tengen Challengersā Final played on 23 October 1980, Ushinohama lost a game versus Yamabe Toshiro on time after 51 moves. During the dinner break, Ushinohama had fallen asleep in one of the bedrooms on the 8th floor of the Nihon Ki-in and could not be located to resume the game.
Thatās gold ![]()
This feels like quite a 2022 story
Nowadays we have a different feel for typical 2022 story
Thatās a different one from the Monday one.
Eleven?! That sounds like sabotage, or, more prosaic and more probable, really, really bad equipment. Or maybe putting pilots in planes before they are properly trained.
There is hardly any news in the UK at the momentā¦
Theyāre flying low to avoid air defence (AD). Target acquisition (TA) radars for AD normally have a conical shape and are typically centered at a few thousand feet above ground (EDIT: few thousand meteres is what i was thinking in my head, which is like 15,000 feet). To avoid TA, fast air has to fly above (easily detected by other means) or below (difficult to detect with long-range TA due to interference from terrain). Since flying low also has terrain risks like trees and buildings, those tend to be the bigger factor in planes being destroyed.
Itās always a numbers game in war, and Russia has chosen to kill off a certain number of pilots and planes in order to bypass AD and strike behind their front lines. You donāt see a lot of mainstream media reporting on āRussian military successesā (for psyops reasons, and psyops goes both ways), but there have been enough successful missions that Russia is willing to lose that many.
This is one of many indicators of Russia taking an āall or nothingā approach to this war.
Training is less likely of an issue for pilots than it is for foot soldiers, but weāll see that become an issue probably around spring time.
Or maybe putting pilots in planes before they are properly trained.
Meanwhile in Greece (so you can have a visual image of the danger and speed of the matter):
What @Kaworu_Nagisa said is 100% correct, so in this case they are actually risking their best pilots. There is no way you would ask a novice or intermediate pilot to even attempt that, so it is the most experienced pilots that are being sent for that kind of mission. I have the utmost respect for the kind of skill, dedication and bravery that it needs to even imagine flying like that.
I think big part is that thereās a lot more flying in a war than in peace times. Everything is working overtime. More strain - more crashes.
Some of those ocean passes are such low alt. that the pilot could have valid concerns about ![]()

Iāve become a fan of wild court cases ever since Amber Heard. This one has been particularly interesting⦠I also quite like Bruce Riversā videos.
It just baffles me how some trials in the US are like a circus with a lot of drama. Trials in the Netherlands are just too technical and boring to follow closely (except for lawyers and specialized journalists perhaps), even when it is a high profile trial involving a top criminal.
somebody on ogs watches LegalEagle too⦠nice he has great videoās
Heās alright but I prefer Runkle of the Bailey
I wanted to post something about World Cup in Qatar, but honestly I donāt know where to start.
Iāll just point out the hypocrisy.
