You’re right about this to a certain extent: “annullment” does result in the “Game History” of that game being presented differently.

^^ this shows a not-annulled and an annulled result one after the other.

However, the outcome of the game is not lost: the annulled game is still B+R.

I think we’d have to do this treatment for these games, otherwise we’d face questions of “why didn’t my rank go up from this victory?”

Yeah its true, but then we get “I swear I chose ranked, why do I have unranked games in my history?”

I think the bottom line is that folk hate having their games changed. We have the ongoing “battle” in this respect with the correspondence timeout thing … it’d be a big gulp to have another eh.
