Please forgive a stupid question. I know Alan Turing loved games and mathematics. How is he connected with Go?
It’s just the name of a tournament here on OGS (one that allows bots).

I think it’s more his relation to computing that the tournament name is making a connection with. Since the Alan turning tournament is the only tournament which sanctions using AI to help you in a game, I think that is the relation to the choice of name.
- Bots and use of AI are allowed in Alan Turing tournaments.
