Okay but seriously my first account jumped from 26k to 15k back in 2016 when they did that. If you want old OGS ranks then let’s mourn OLD OGS RANKS

It kills me that it’s off-center.
I was totally expecting the tiger to ruin that snowman due to the enormous weight of its expectations
Fun fact: leopards aren’t tigers.
WHO’S THE PEDANT NOW, EH? ; )
(and yes, that is a complete sentence - just let me post the joke!)
OMG RIGHT!? Rude discourse blocked me the other day too.
So…
When I post something casual I get 13 likes
But when I post something with a lot of thought I get like 5.

I am literally standing here in front of the microwave laughing out loud and forming a complete sentence so that I can post this
THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!
And this is also a complete sentence
Clearly, there can be multiple pedants. It’s not like we’re the immortals in Highlander. Although, it does seem reasonable to consider the title of “greatest” pedant, which could be uniquely awarded. However, note that I do not claim to be the “greatest”, but rather just simply a pedant (as in, possibly one of many). I believe there is no shortage of examples where others on these forums strive to profess their own pedantry, nor shall I stand in their way.
Further, it remains an open question of how one might formally measure “greatest”, let alone whether a phrase like “greatest” really carries the appropriate connotations. Perhaps other adjectives, like “worst”, “most atrocious”, or “cringiest”, should be contemplated.
Clearly
Half of those words aren’t in my grammar.
There’s a historical point here: originally lions had the name “leopard” in english.
The root is Latin leopardus – it’s suggested that this also had the meaning “leopon”, a lion–leopard hybrid, in addition to “leopard” ofc.
