My post was supposed to be like the Taoism yin-yang symbol.
Number of handicap stones for a game is determined by the kyu/dan rank difference, and
kyu/dan ranks are assigned (relatively) based on individual performance in handicap (and even) games.
I was just trying to illustrate how the kyu/dan ranking system and Handicap Go are inextricably linked, and the OGS icon reminded me of the yin-yang symbol, an ancient meme.
We have quite a few coders on the site, many of whom contribute to OGS on Github, so I made this for them.
