I have a good feeling about my current theory
Care to share your theory?
I think its notable that green Koans have less stones than red Koans.
I was waiting for the results of the poll first
But maybe I can add one more koan to the poll?
- Green
- Red

I also have a rule guess that fits all green and red koans so far, but I’m waiting for the end of the poll because of this.
It seems that a lot of us think everything should be green (well, I do at the moment, but I suspect at least one, if not two other voters think so). Perhaps we have the same idea.
Could I add one additional koan to the poll as well?
- Green
- Red

Should I just post now or will they officially close? It looks like we got plenty of votes.
Shall we post now? I’m not even sure if there are more than 6 people participating at the moment.
Also, I can’t wait to find out the first koan 162 is actually red.
I’m also in favor of revealing now
I have a big red “close” button. You said “8 hours or so” so I was planning to wait 8 hours and hit the button, but I can totally do it early.
EDIT: I closed the polls. However, apparently the polls were secret because I can’t see who voted what. This was my first time creating a poll on the forums, and apparently the default is secret?
As for my own vote: I voted 162 Green, but 163 and 164 Red. Apparently I’m the only voter who voted Red for 163 and 164.
I voted green for all except for 167.
i voted green all except 165
Yeah, I’m always confused about how to set up polls, but there’s a settings button that reveals a lot more options. Anyway, here you go!
Yesssssssssssssssssssssss
Did you vote red for the last two as well?
Yes!
Rule guess:
It is possible to add moves to the position so that all stones initially on the position are alive with two eyes.
Well, this one contradicts my rule guess, actually.
Now I’m doubting. I must have voted green for 165.
my (wrong) idea was every chain should have at least three liberties
I voted the same way @Vsotvep did, my guess was “the number of chains plus the number of empty regions is at most five” (which I think worked for all previous koans but apparently broke horribly on the new ones!)
This also seems like a counterexample if I’m interpreting correctly?
This is what I had in mind as well.
Just wanted to let you all know I’ve been lurking lately. This is totally a game for me, if only I had the time.
Keep it going, one day I will join!
