HJJ GO Pros and Cons

It’s using the Chinese rules, prisoners don’t matter.

You need to read just a little deeper…

You don’t need to take the 2 stones with D1. After W-F1, B-E1, if W-D1 (captures E1), then B-E1 (snapback, captures 3). Instead, play somewhere else that increases your score.

Likewise, after W-J5, B-J6, W-H6 (captures J6), B-J8, you don’t need to play J6 to capture H6 and J7 until White forces you with W-J4. White can’t connect with J6 first because it’s self atari. Instead, play somewhere else that increases your score.

Sorry for the late response. Thank you so much for your helpful advice. I recognize that I need to study this topic. Unfortunately there is no option to skip puzzles

Sorry for the late reply. Thank you for your kind help.

I am glad to see you are still on the journey of learning Go. Hopefully, you found the journey enjoyable.

I am curious though, after all these times, how much do you find the HJJ Go apps help you in these 2 months of using it, and which part of the function do you feel is more helpful (practice with humans, practice with AIs, tsumego, opening practice, end-game problem, or just their videos if you watched any)? Do you feel you gained some knowledge, or better (or worse) at certain aspect?
