I think this is an interesting way of looking at it. I wouldn’t have thought of using this for cheating at all if you hadn’t mentioned it.
A few years ago I had built something similar to this to solve a similar problem: I wanted a way to play games on my board and have them translated to play online. I was going to post a link into the thread until I read through.
That code is less sophisticated than this, but waaay more dangerous than this from a cheating POV. Since it copies board state it could theoretically be used to automatically have an AI input moves back and forth into OGS. That being said… the entire OGS API is open so anyone who’s sufficiently motivated would be able to do this more directly.
I also don’t have a good fix. I like that I have open source code to copy board state (not that as far as I know anyone has used it). I like that the OGS API is open and easy to use. The good that can come from these things seems to outweigh the bad of cheating, but I’m probably only saying that because of not having to deal with cheaters all the time.

I agree that such a tool has good use. But it has been discussed in this thread that the tool can also be used for cheating.
As always, a tool can be used for good and bad. On OGS it is weighing more towards not developing tools like this. I don’t decide this, but I’m telling you wat has been discussed until now.
It is customary to post in English on these forums and I ask you to do so. You can use translators, that is fine.
