Man, I’m starting to think I need a few different accounts for trying each of these strats

Another strategy I should have tried: before jumping from #1025 to #11, message a few DDKs, encouraging them to challenge me. Gives them an excellent shot at jumping high up while blocking the tougher players from challenging me for a few months.

Won this game, breaking into the top ten without challenging anyone!
Seems like if I had made it last a little longer I could have done better, though! Look where my opponent is now, a few hours later:

I challenged a player that I hoped would take me up higher in the 19x19 ladder, but they just chose to drop out of the ladder during the game. I don’t know if that had anything to do with my challenge🤷♂️
