I’m closing this topic because honestly I’d rather have less attention drawn to it and the subsequent curious experiments.
We know it’s an issue.

For those present:
I’ve already seen people experimenting to see how low they can go with handicap and still be sure to win.
The fix is “setting the handicap value of a stone correctly”, and the maximum handicap allowable from there.
