[Rare] Seki on whole board

I see. any stones that can be captured should be captured to make clear the seki position, and also because capturing can impact the point

Has anyone worked out what difference the rule set makes to this remarkable game?

Between Japanese and Chinese rules, there are really no major differences in terms of the life/death status of the stones, besides the technicality of that one dead stone at J7. Thus, the only substantial difference in outcome comes from the nuances of counting.

Under Japanese rules, White should technically play another move to capture the stone at J7 (but simply counting that stone as dead and removing it during scoring is an okay, informal shortcut). Then, I think both players would have 2 captures each and no territory (since everything is in seki). Thus, White would win by komi (W+5.5).

Under Chinese rules, White would have 37 points and Black would have 39 points (in area on the board). After factoring in komi of 5.5, the result would be W+3.5.
