Yeah I know, but most times I imagine people referring to players by username, or by saying “Black is ahead here”, “white needed this exchange etc”.
However trying to be more specific like “who is player 1,2,3,4,5…” etc might be useful in rengo, even just to clear up any confusion.
Maybe it’s niche, and won’t come up, and was just a fluke that I wanted to say “being player 1”, when I suppose I could’ve said “first player” etc instead.
