And I am just saying that it didn’t work for me and I explained why. As I said earlier:
every person learns differently and enjoys the game differently.
What I noticed is that whenever there was a live game that I had to play (e.g. a tournament), ditching the idea of spending the time and applying the idea of playing faster and having the other person worry about the clock has lead to better results and actually having fun instead of getting pressured by the upcoming byoyomi.
If your style differs, great! All I am saying is that we should avoid putting objective standards like “efficiency” and “effectiveness” in the things we happen to like/enjoy, because that is giving the wrong idea to people that are seeking advice.
For example:
Is it more efficient to spend the time evenly during the whole game and reach byoyomi or is it more efficient to play fast moves when the game is still in the early/middle phase where not many fights come around and once the real fights happen later you will have half the time in your clock while the opponent is already in byoyomi?
Who knows?
