And browsing the senseis wiki, you can find much more intricate examples where simple heuristics won’t be sufficient to determine what is going on. Apparently these positions are also seki (both players should not play anywhere, because it would lose points):

In the game H9 seems the worst move to play by black leading here to a possible death on ko (although there are no more ko threats in that game). Other moves like G9 or J8 would lead to easy life on seki, or even to a full life if white answers badly.
