Simultaneous Fractional Go Game 1

Or was it the other way round? Feijoa announced R10 here. To me it comes as a surprise that Feijoa actually played their announced move :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:.

Right, I forgot about that ^^

Iā€™m not sure if we are any better than a random bot at this game

I sincerely believe that all of you play much better than random-bot.

Well, thatā€™ll be the last time :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

At the end of the game, only the white and black score is relevant for the result. But we can count points for blue, green and pink too, just for fun  Which of the secondary colours do you think will have the most?

Hard to say. The upper left will stay blue, Iā€™d guess. But green and pink are fighting in two places at once, anything can happen there.

The right side looks very interesting.

Hereā€™s a pass-alive structure with only white territory, I think:

And a smaller one, featuring collisions:

@yebellz do you want to work on killing the black group at RS6? I could probably keep my ataried stone there alive a little longer.

We have to clean up all the dead stones before scoring, and much of that could involve arbitrary choices of secondary color, so I think the secondary color scoring will be pretty random.

With my next move, Iā€™m playing for influence.

Iā€™m busy with the left side. But who knows, maybe Iā€™ll give them a surprise.

I love the two symmetrical empty triangles on the left

I see you indeed went for influence

I see so much possibilities on the right, none of them certain. Itā€™s basically going to be a coin flip who gets captured.

We can capture the two green stones:

or these two:

I can disconnect the green group:

I could prevent my capture for another round:

We could disconnect and put the stones in atari:

And all of these can be sabotaged by white playing the same. But then, white can defend / attack a different part, and we may both get what we want.

Or we may both defend without any benefit.

Who knows whatā€™s going to happen.

This is also nice:

Thereā€™s no way White can prevent the green stones from being separated

Iā€™m playing the ā€œonly moveā€.

This looks particularly scary for my prospects in the upper-right, so Iā€™ll do something to counter it. @yebellz youā€™ll be on your own against Blue-Black down there for this round

White @yebellz: T7 @Feijoa: Q8 @terrific: D7

Maharani and Feijoa collide at Q8, creating our second four-coloured stone.

Itā€™s getting crowded. Also, third collision!

I misread the bamboo. Connecting the two parts is easy, but cutting pink is harder than I thought.
