This inspired me today.
I mean, I surely just badly imitated your meal, and probably violated all rules of the Greek cuisine or so, but it was very tasty.
I’m known to be a cooking rebel, rules are meant to be tasty, eh I mean broken.
(I don’t think Greek cuisine purists would allow me in either anyway )
Homemade fishballs? Nice.
my friend came over for lunch yesterday, so I made veggies agebitashi and zarusoba. had leftovers today for lunch. agebitashi is one of my favorites in the summer, such an easy and nice way to make a lot of veggies
this picture makes me think, even if I don’t have a tray for noodles, I should at least get some matching dishes…
Yesterday, I made mushroom risotto and carots. (Yes, @Lys, I know I’m probably doing it all wrong. )
Barbarians…
Today is mooncake day here but they are everywhere so i lack a bit of inspiration for a picture, sorry!
What’s that? Spaghetti on top of rigatoni?
I can’t say “barbarians” about Greek people, though!
Rigatoni with a carbonara sauce variation and lots of shredded regato cheese. Some pizza in the background.
Also, that was a Dan level joke, I approve.
Pizza in a pile?!
Big pan (new oven ), small plates.
Lasagna is made of rectangular sheets about 10 cm (3 or 4 inches) wide.
Length may vary. Homemade fresh lasagna can be very long and it’s cut at tray’s measure.
Dried industrial lasagna has sort of wide-screen proportions.
I can’t see clearly in the picture, but I’d say those noodles are about 1 cm wide, so we would call them tagliatelle. Pappardelle when wider than that (2-3 cm, about one inch) but still in a ribbon shape.
No they are like 10 cm wide too. There is a pile of them in front of the women, waiting to join the others on the straw panels. You can see more clearly at the bottom left corner of the left straw panel maybe. In fact they are a little bit bigger as the usual lasagna size.
Nice!
They must be quite transparent.
I can almost see straws through them and that’s
why I was confusing.
Yes! They get less transparent after drying.
