i would expect it to be equal

In the forum are some posts about the ranking system. But I found no definite answer weather handicap games are scored as equal or not.

As far as I know it behaves as if you were playing a game with equal ranks. Thus no huge jumps as if you would beat a 5 stones stronger player

When you finish a game, we add the game to the list of games, and compute your new “current” rating by applying the results of those games to your “base” rating. When recomputing, we also use your opponents’ “current” ratings as opposed to simply the ratings they were when the game originally concluded.
