Have things (people actually!) changed maybe?

I have made friends with several people here, some of whom I’ve been playing for more than ten years now … one or two I even met on DGS actually, and then dragged them over here … but then again IIRC they were not opponents in tournaments but simply people who were paired with open challenges (but my memory can be wrong).

Do you think round 2 will take longer than round 1? From the games vs days elapsed, it almost looks like round two is projected to be a slower pace than before.

I don’t know. It’s all depending on a handful of slow games. Not very predictable.

I am hopeful the orange line for round two remains below the blue line from round one. I think we won’t be much shorter though and probably between 1400 and 1450 days until the end. There are still 7 games with fewer than 100 moves so some of those are likely to be in the final days. So seems like we might be getting close to halfway through the time of the second round.
