We might as well answer the question here … it’s been begging for a while.
We look for new Community Moderators only if and when the current team is not keeping up with the load.
When we do look, we look for people active in forums and/or chat, as well as playing games, who tend to help and have demonstrated clear understanding of issues and ability to discuss them.
We also look at the potential CM’s track record in terms of “reports raised” and “reports raised against them”.
This is manual at the moment, because we are in the wonderful position of not having to do this often: the existing Community Moderators are doing a fantastic job. Thank you all so much.
