I got scorned by my teachers as a kid a lot with dipping my hand in the jar. But one of the classmates would deliberately take one for a few seconds, put is back in, and then get one out and repeat, and said he just couldnā€™t decide :woman_shrugging: :man_shrugging:

Besides most politeness and etiquette articles are developed without warning around the Japanese system, which is not a universal system.

Rattling the Go stones is universally annoying for the opponent.

No i went into places where rattling was quite a common fact.
Perception of noises is cultural and varies a lot.

I donā€™t understand how itā€™s possible to concentrate in a noisy environment but of course I accept the fact that politeness and etiquette rules depend on culture.

Well i dunno. I met students who prefered study in a bar or cafeteria as in a library. Things are not so obvious to me. I enjoy the quietness of my countryside, but i have a friend who donā€™t like it, feels stressed or even ā€œscaredā€ and would prefer more activity around.
