This is a game I played this morning and got crushed. It felt like I was on the defensive the whole game with few opportunities to take back sente. I’ve tried to review it myself and I have identified some moves that I think were wrong, like tenuki at move 13, but a review from a stronger player would really help!
Isn’t my group dead too in the variation you sketched?
Edit:
Actually it looks like a Seki. Is it correct?
Anyway, would that be enough for wining the game? I have the feeling that if I find myself in a situation where a difficult invasion is the only way to win, the game has gone wrong some time before.
Thanks it makes sense. I played this way because I could not tell whether the upper group would die and I thought I needed to protect it but now that I see your variation it looks alive. Guess I need to do more tsumego.
Actually it’s ko. To get away from this difficulty, you have to go back to the beginning, because the black stones at the left lower side weren’t alive.
