At your stage I think a SDK would be just as fine a teacher for you.
I know that when I was 18kyu i learned a lot from one 11kyu, @Pensho
Sure strength matters to a degree, but past a certain point it all becomes the same for you, I.e they are valuable teachers. Think of it like a student learning from a secondary-level teacher (SDK) or a professor (Dan).
