Can you take two pieces from separate units with one move?
Yes. Any opposing pieces that have no liberties after your move are captured. Feel free to post a picture or game-link to ensure no confusion.
Yes, you capture both Black stones. I like easy questions.
Thanks! sorry I just got this for my 5 yr old and figured I should learn the ins and outs before I teach him the game
Good tutorial available here: https://learn-go.net/
and a big list of resources available here: https://online-go.com/docs/other-go-resources
[Edit] I wish I’d learnt at the age of 5. Sigh.
And of course, further questions here are always welcome
I’m curious, how does it come to you got a go set for your 5 yr old? I’d expect either you or your son knows the game already, but this doesn’t seem to be the case.
So what is the story behind this gift?
I guess some wonderful person must have gifted it in order to introduce them to the game. Great gift, one that will keep giving for a lifetime of enjoyment.
Welcome to our forums and the game of go, @gregory.davin!
