2018 German Go Championship (October 11-14) to be streamed live on EGF Twitch with commentary

Hi all,

We are excited to announce that the 2018 German Go Championship (a.k.a. Deutsche Go-Einzelmeisterschaft) will be streamed on EGF’s Twitch channel, live from Bremen, Germany. The German Go Championship is a 4-day round robin tournament between 8 of Germany’s strongest Go players, one of which will be crowned the 2018 German National Champion. This will be the first of our many broadcasting projects to come in Europe, so stay tuned for updates :slight_smile:

Thanks to our friends at Twitch, the following schedule will be partially promoted on the Twitch front page:

Day 1 (Oct 11) Round 1: 10.00-14.00 Round 2: 16.00-20.00
Day 2 (Oct 12) Round 3: 10.00-14.00 Round 4: 16.00-20.00
Day 3 (Oct 13) Round 5: 10.00-14.00 Round 6: 16.00-20.00
Day 4 (Oct 14) Round 7: 10.00-14.00

The commentary will be hosted in English by Stephen “xhu98” Hu (EGF 4d), and joined by Kim Youngsam (EGF 7d, two-time European Open champion) and Benjamin Teuber (EGF 6d, author of AI Sensei).

NOTE: If you are a Go streamer on Twitch and look forward to be hosted by the EGF channel in between 14.00 and 16.00, please contact us! Depending on when the games finish, we might not guarantee a full 2-hour host but if it happens, you’ll provide the crowd with awesome content and boost your channel’s growth!
