Here is the funny part … what they were voting on was the ā€œtechnical programā€ of the whole municipality. Practically this means what they are supposed to make and/or build for the next year.
When you are in the opposition, by definition, you cannot even make something like that because you are usually not into the loop about the current and future funds of the municipality, as well as the plans of the prefecture.

They could have made a ā€œjust for funā€ plan of course, but of what I understood they were not aware that this law was in effect. It must be a new thing ahaha.

On something new today, I had heard of dishwashing machines, but I had never heard of dishwashing cats. 2022 is full of surprises so I live and learn.

Here is what happened. In a tavern here someone called them and asked for 3 tables to be put out on the pavement where it would have had sunshine so they’d have a gathering to eat for midday.
Indeed from 12+ till 2 in the midday the humans arrived and ate.
However, from 2+ till almost 4 the tavern deemed it appropriate to let the dishes and leftovers out in the sun for their ā€œexternal contractorsā€ also known as ā€œstray catsā€ which happily jumped on the tables and licked everything clean before the hour was even out.
I guess the plates were left in the sunshine for the next hour in order for the sun to disinfect the dishes.

I was doing some work on the building opposite and I couldn’t concentrate from laughing at the whole concept.

Which begs the question does YOUR cat do the dishes or are they freeloaders?

I used to have a cat that figured out how to open up the dishwasher, hitting the button and using his weight to ā€œrideā€ the door down, and then get into the dishes that way. The odd thing is that at least half the time they had already been washed and so we would have to run them through again because he thought there was still food on them.

I would not own a cat, and generally I lick my own dishes clean  but in the past and likely in the future also, I have let my dogs lick dishes clean  waste not want not

I’m considering buying a parrot just to make it watch the ads and keep my peace.
Those services are fast becoming the worst.

Summary

Went to a clinic today only to get nothing because turns out people at the reception signed me up for the wrong doctor, they don’t do the procedure I need. Womp, womp. And for one other thing their machine got broken so I’m out of luck.

By the way, some time ago I got EEG where they put electrodes on your head and flash bright light into your closed eyes. Damn, that was kinda trippy. Endless light encompassing me from all sides and sending me to Valhalla, like woah. And that’s just flashing in calculated patterns. Brain is funny.

Between that and Andrew, and the usual latest with Liz and Harry, this is an eventful year for the Crown…

I swear it reminded me of the ā€œwe are no longer the knights who say Ni ā€¦ā€ routine. :stuck_out_tongue:
Very impressive name.

Thais have been using the name ā€œKrung Thepā€ before.

BTW, the original name of Los Angeles is " El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Ángeles de Porciúncula".

I was not very worried when they were talking about moving troops and machinery and armaments.
Those can be used to apply political pressure, and quite a lot of it, so they can be deployed even when noone has the intention of using them.
If they started talking food, water and fuel, then that is when it really gets worrying, because there is no gain/pressure to be had from those things. Let’s hope that these are just as a precaution, but it is the ā€œcanary in the coalmineā€ equivalent of diplomacy not going well.

I hope not.
