Also, this Twosday is on a Tuesday

If only it were today, Monday is Δευτέρα (Second day)!

In China, Tuesday is the second day of the week.

Is this unusual in some other countries?

I don’t think there is such a standard convention in the USA as to which is the first day of the week.

I think that from some Christian perspectives, Monday is viewed as the first day, since Sunday is viewed as the seventh day. However, many Jews and some Christians observe Saturday as the seventh day.

A lot of calendars put Sunday at the start of each row, but perhaps that’s more to do with having the row centered on Wednesday, the middle of the typical work week, and it is possible to find calendars that follow different conventions, like Monday first.

For instance in vietnamese, Monday = “Thứ Hai” (literally meaning “second”), Tuesday = “Thứ Ba” (=third), etc.

I really like this attitude

I mean, Catherine basically did the same expansions, but at least she had style.

Can all the powerful people STFU, sit down, and let us see the end of the current pandemic mess for starters? Thank you.

Unfair; only millionaire can afford a trip there.

A trip to mars is estimated at 80 billion USD. How much would cost a trip to Uranus?

Do you live close to where fighting is expected? Or only close enough for the other ramifications? Hope you come through all this turmoil safely in all regards

I guess sanctions have wide collateral impact, certain much wider, geographically speaking, than the actual fighting.

Well yes if you take it generally enough it could impact almost anyone in the world in some way.

Well but more specifically ordinary Russians if it results in goods and services being more expensive for example. Or cutting off the main international money transfer services.

In return I’m expecting I’ll end up with less gas at some point soon!

Draw a circle and fan out…

Warring countries have it worse for obvious reasons and then stepping stones.

Which is why we older gamers have our trusty DOSbox and emulators, ready and waiting in case the internet ever collapses

A most excellent channel, but I mean come on, the answer to that was obvious.
You cannot get more diverse than tying it up to some theory that proposes the existense of 10^42 universes or something (it has to be 42. Make no mistakes. :stuck_out_tongue: )

To lighten things up on that, we are currently paying 1.9 euros per litre of unleaded (8.5 dollars per gallon) which is currently the eighth most expensive price in the world

And because our ministers know that Greece is soooo much richer than Switcherland and Monaco and Germany, one of them actually said - this is almost a direct quote - that they will not reduce the price/tax on fuel because if they did so the rich would benefit from it since, after all, the poor cannot afford to have a car anyway … and he was NOT kidding. A minister said that seriously

If we were in a Call of Cthulhu RPG, just that quote would have made everyone re-roll characters due to insanity :stuck_out_tongue:
