Like, people prefer to trample on those assumedly “below” them … in German we call this “Radfahrermentalität” — bicyclist mentality: to bow upwards and kick downwards.
Like, (at least in Germany, and AFAIK) it’s mostly the poorer (= undereducated/underprivileged) people who vote for the extreme Right.
So … it’s often the poor, and the “middle class” who vote for the 4ssh0les (whoever they are) BUT it’s just as often—if not regularly—the case that said 4ssh0les are supported by the “money folks” … who sometimes even donate to competing parties in the hopes that they will remember if they win.
I’m not letting the “money folks” out of the noose just yet.

(because I’m still a typophiliac / typomaniac; I was a prepress/graphics/“DTP” professional for ~40 years … and, for a decade, also teacher/lecturer/instructor)
Good idea. Many U.S. cities are incredibly dangerous now. I haven’t been in Washington in at least 10 years and hope I never need to again. I do miss the occasional art exhibition at the National Gallery, though.
On the other hand Zuckerberg has been getting more active in sports as the years go by and they say he won a jiu-jitsu tournament, but let’s be real here … “of course he did”
Lots of posts here where this would fit, I think, as it combines a few topics that have come up (AI, refugees, rich people ) … but I thought this here might be just fine.

small broken and rusty ramshackle submarine with holes
… on this site:
Then I added the text:
ONCE IN A LIFETIME (!) OFFER for billionaires: VISIT THE MEDITERRANEAN SEA GRAVEYARD
ONLY $250000!
I think it’s poor taste how 5 people going to see the titanic in an uncertified shady submarine get probably the most expensive rescue mission on sea to date, involving 60 ships, aircraft, submersible drones etc. that was doomed to fail before it even started, not even a week after around 500 people drowned in front of the coast of Greece after the coast guard basically caused the ship to capsize and then denied any blame.
I have read the following replies but I feel the urgent need to say that I created this EXACTLY BECAUSE of what happened in the Atlantic this week … and putting it into the context of what happened—and what DIDN’T happen—in the Mediterranean last week.
My sympathy goes to those who grieve, of course, but hey …
